This is fairly easy, because his name is Rudolph, and his white coloured friend is called Holly.
Xmas is coming.

Jakes 5th Birthday weekend celebrations

What a weekend, we went up to see our grandson, Jake, who had just celebrated his 5th birthday.
After a long day shopping on Saturday we took him greyhound racing at Coventry on Saturday evening, once again he was shouting loudly for his chosen greyhound, if it won we gave him pretend winnings, just as not to encourage him into gambling, LOL.
I had a couple of nice winners on the trio and we actually came back with more money than we went with, result.
On Sunday the was a large family gathering for a meal at The Farmhouse in Coventry.
What a superb place, serving either Indian or English meals, I had the korma, the best I have ever had, Keith had the tikka sizzler, made him reach for the water after the first mouthful, but said it was the best he had ever had also.
Between the 13 of us we all had different meals, all served at the same time and all hot, well done to everyone at this really good restaurant.
To round it of Jake had a Fireman Sam birthday cake, that was tasty too.
Excellent weekend, just need a rest to recover now,LOL

Back home from London show

Thanks to everyone who came and adopted my creations at Kensington Hugglets show, we had a great time, especially enjoyed meeting friends who we had only ever known by their email address.
Visitors had come from far and wide, we spoke to people from the USA and Norway who had made the trip especially to take in the visit.
The young girl from Norway had been treated to the trip by her grand mother as a birthday present, we really felt sorry for because she fell in love with one of Maurens cats, saying she would have a look around before making her mind up. Sorry to say that the cat was adopted just after she left our stand, but she took it very well and said she had had a wonderful birthday present, and really enjoyed the show.
We also managed to chat to some of our regular visitors from the UK, travelling from Cheshire, Birmingham, and many part of London.
A long and very tiring day, but well worth it.
Keith will be updating the website over the next couple of days, when he has had his beauty sleep and recovered, LOL
Thanks again to everyone we met.
Bearst wishes

A tiring day at Bucks Couny Show

The sun shone, the crowds turned out, and some of the wonderful animals on show, well, they were a little tired, LOL.
A wonderful day at this years Bucks County Show, I have never seen so many people there, and the variety of animals was fantastic. A special well done to those involved in showing the cattle, my favourites, their day must have started very, very early, and the quality of there charges was just fantastic.

great effort at Dinton Fete

A quintessential English village fete, held at Dinton, a small village near where we live, on Bank Holiday Monday.
Well done to everyone concerned, a wonderful afternoon of fun and some great homemade cakes, and raising much needed funds for local areas.
The fete was officially opened by Tony Hadley.

Poppy tastic

For many years I have tried to have a decent display of Poppies in my garden, shame to admit I have failed miserably, that is until this year.
All it took was to sprinkle a packet of Ornamental Poppy seeds and hey presto, the most fantastic display this year.
Keith has ben out with his camera and put a gallery of them on the following link,

http://sli.so/1801523,jm

The best factor is that the bees actually love the poppies, so not only a beautiful display but helping the bees, which we have heard are struggling at the moment.
A bee can just about be seen in the photo above having brunch, LOL

real fun and he loves his bears, LOL

What a great time, from being in the middle of food shopping we get a phone call saying our grandson would like to pop down a visit us. He did not have to go to pre-school and it coincided with his dad being off work also.
After they arrived it did not take long for Jake to ask me if we still had any bubbles, as it happens whilst shopping we managed to get some Magic Bubbles, these claimed to solidify after being blown, sounded really good, however I should have taken more notice when the sales lady said they are really only supposed to be used outside.
So there we are, myself and Jake in the garden trying to catch these bubbles, it was a little windy and they were going everywhere, but great fun.
After we had been out for a meal and returned home, I looked at my hair, a number of very small sticky blobs of what was the bubbles, yuk.
Keith is now saying he never knows who actually gets more fun out of the bubbles, although Jake really has fun, I LOVE THEM, but will be more careful next time, LOL
The bear photo was taken whilst Jake was in Stratford upon Avon, and he wanted his Nanny to see him, bless him.

Kiwi Mcfig now lives in New Zealand

My first creation to New Zealand, yes, half way around the world, amazing.
The photo shows Hannah with Kiwi Mcfig on her seventh birthday, and she knows that Kiwi is a collector creation, but was allowed a quick cuddle on her birthday, LOL
Hannah who lives in Dunedin, New Zealand with her parents Roberta and Dean is the god daughter of Joyce, who lives in Scotland and adopted the cat for Hannah.
What a small world we live in, just wish myself and Keith could visit New Zealand as it sounds a lovely country.

hair jel and after shave, at 4½

We had fun going to see our grandson, Jake, over the Easter holidays.
We were greeted with a new look and smell, not only had he found out what hair jel does, but smelt lovely with some of his fathers after shave on.
So what else could we get him instead of an Easter egg, chocolate makes him hypo, but his own bottle of after shave, LOL.
At least he won't have to raid his fathers now before he goes to school.........
and yes he is only 4½ years old.

one dedicated Peregrine Falcon

The bird showing great determination is a Peregrine Falcon at Nottingham, England.
She must be sitting on her eggs to stay through such bad weather.
It is British Summer Time here , Next Week.................
Fingers crossed the weather improves for the Falcon, and we will eventually see some little ones.

les Mis the film again, LOL

Just had to do it, go and see Les Miserables again, and it was even better the second time we saw it.
Really appreciated some of the smaller roles, and once again the time just flew by
Lincoln is next on my list of films to see, hope it is as good as Les Mis.
Just out of interest, does anyone in the UK go to Odeon cinemas, and have they had booking problems via the internet.
Bye for now, back to making my latest creation.
Bearst wishes

Les Miserables the film

Given tickets for our birthdays, myself and Keith trotted off to the local cinema and saw Les Mis.
We were both a little sceptical about its running time of over 2 and a half hours.
How silly were we, the film was brilliant, stunning, moving and so many more emotions, the time went so quickly we never once took a peek at out watches.
The time and obviously the money that went into just the opening scene showed what was to come.
We have never been to the theatre to see the show, but now that is on our list of things to do.
If you have not seen it, I would highly recommend it

how embarrassing

I don't know why but it always happens to me, LOL
Keith decided to take me to the local auction house, to have a look around for furniture for our spare bedroom.
All started fine, but we did miss bidding on a lot that would have been OK, just missed seeing it during the preview.
Then the fun started, Keith took a phone call from his son and went outside to answer it.
I decided to have a sit down, found a seat provided by the auction house, sat down, then Whhooooops, the chair broke into pieces and I ended up on the floor, just how embarrassing is that, luckily I don't think any harm was done, except my pride. All the staff were very helpful and showed concern for my welfare, more than can be said of Keith, LOL
He came back and said, what have you been up to, when I explained he said , shame I missed it, as it would have made a great photo. LOL
The photo is a card I made that represents a scent bottle.

what a game

Well it seemed like a good idea at the time.
We have decided to update our central heating, great you would think.
Well, not so good as we need to empty out the 2 bedroom so they can gain access to the floors.
That has led to a massive clear out, and I have told Keith we will get new carpets and he can redecorate the room, just to give him something to do, LOL.
This also led to Keith putting up some mohair packs on to Ebay.
Not what we had planned for the new year, but onwards and upwards, just a couple more trips to the recycling centre, hopefully.
Happy New Year
